Stroke is a time-critical disease and delay in hospital arrival and treatment is a major driver for poor outcomes. Race-ethnic disparities exist in stroke awareness, recognition, appropriate action and acute treatment with a medicine.

Design Process
Research
As part of the research, we conducted 13 ethnographic interviews with female caregivers and 9 stakeholder interviews with the CEERIAS staff.
Analysis
Following an organized process of data integration & analysis, qualitative research findings were translated into insights that were then clustered into the key themes which informed our main design principles and opportunities.
